Born in Hong Kong, Sharon CHAN received full scholarships to study at Wells Cathedral School in the UK as a specialist musician at the age of 14.
During the time at Wells, Sharon toured to Europe, Hong Kong and China with the school’s orchestras. In 2010, Sharon won the opportunity to play the Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto with the School's orchestra in Wells and Llandaff Cathedrals. An invitation to play the Mozart Concerto No.5 with the Mid Somerset Orchestra followed the year after.
Sharon continued her study with Professor Michael Ma at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts after Wells. She graduated with the privilege to perform Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto with the Academy Symphony Orchestra as a winner of the school's concerto competition.
Sharon is now a contract member at the Hong Kong Sinfonietta and performed actively at the popular Good Music This Lunch series.
