About the performers:

Rachel CHEUNG, piano

A prize-winning pianist and an audience-favorite, Rachel CHEUNG has appeared with the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Hong Kong Philharmonic, Jerusalem Symphony, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Sydney Symphony, London Chamber, and Fort Worth Symphony Orchestras. Following her Prix du Jury win at the 2017 Play-Direct Academy, she began to play and conduct at the piano with the Hong Kong Philharmonic since 2019. She has performed in recital at the Auditorium du Louvre in Paris, Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Steinway Hall in London, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Richmond Hill Centre for Performing Arts in Toronto, Philharmonie de Paris, and in other cities across the United States, Europe, and Asia. 

GUI Li, violin

Born in a musical family, GUI Lireceived her early training at Wuhan Conservatory of Music and won the Second Prize at the National Violin Competition in China and the Best Performance of a Chinese Composition for solo violin. Upon graduating from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts she became a Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Orchestral Fellow of the Hong Kong Philharmonic in 2006, and its full-time member soon afterwards. An exceptional chamber artist locally and on tours, GUI has been the awardee of Duchess of Kent International Scholarship, The Dorset Foundation Weinrebe and Hosier Scholarship.

WANG Liang, violin

Born in Shenyang China, WANG Liang is currently the Second Associate Concertmaster of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. A prize winner in his early teen, Wang received training at the Central Conservatory of Music before becoming a fellow of the philharmonic. As a soloist, Wang has recorded all 24 Paganini caprices on Youtube, and has performed with the HK Phil, Shenyang Symphony Orchestra, Central Conservatory of Music Orchestra, Shanxi Symphony Orchestra and Shanghai Summer Music Festival, among other occasions and festivals.
