Twincapella is an award-winning a cappella vocal group formed in 2013 by two sets of twins: Caitlin Yeung, Maegan Yeung, Hillary Yuen and Sonia Yuen. They first met as students at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) Junior Music Program, and founded Twincapella whilst studying together at Chinese International School.
Under the guidance of Ms. Jovita Leung, they had their debut performance in the annual Golden Note Competition 2013, winning first place in the Chamber Group category. They have arranged and performed classical and pop music, and are all classically trained ATCL vocalists. Possessing the mutual passion towards music, they have continued to expand their repertoire and shared their enthusiasm with music lovers in various performances, such as the Hong Kong Ballet Nutcracker Benefit, [email protected] ‘13, Musical Moments “Unplugged” 2014 concert, RTHK4 “Yes I Can Recital”, and Lifeline Express “Time to Shine” 2014 concert.
All these experiences and memories they built together truly brought them closer as musicians and as friends.
