Duo Volce is a local chromatic harmonica and violin duo, formed by two young emerging musicians, Harry Choi and Kiann Chow. In 2013, both were invited to perform in “HARMONICA – Chromatic Harmonica Gig 2013” at the Hong Kong Jockey Club Amphitheatre, HKAPA. The duo was officially named as Duo Volce in 2014. Since then, it has received invitations from the Hong Kong Harmonica Association to promote classical music and partnership between the chromatic harmonica and the violin, including “‘Breathe’ with the Harmonica – Unlock the World of Classical Music” under the Community Cultural Ambassador Scheme (2014), organized by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (Hong Kong), as well as RTHK Radio “Community Involvement Broadcast: ‘Breathe’ with the Harmonica” (2015).
In Spring 2016, Duo Volce performed in Hong Kong Chinese YMCA Harmonica Orchestra’s 75th anniversary concert as guest performers. The refreshing duo was invited by the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui All Saints’ Cathedral to give debut recital at the Celeste Series, it also collaborated with the Friends of the Hong Kong Museum of Art and presented “Duo Volce – ‘Discovery’” at ‘The Sound of Art’, Sunday Concert series at the Hong Kong Museum of Art. Joined with pianist Hong-Yui Shart, Duo Volce made it first appearance at the 11th Asia-Pacific Harmonica Festival in Taiwan (2016), and the group was awarded the First Prize of the Original category. In 2017, invited by LCSD, the group has performed in Hong Kong Flower Show 2017.
