Brigitta TELLVIK, piano
11 year old Britta Tellvik, has won prizes from many competitions including Grand Prize Virtuoso (London), Osaka International (Japan), 4th Macao International Piano, HK Asia Pacific Youth piano and others.
In 2017-18 Britta played solo recitals with Musica del Cuore, St John’s Cathedral recital series, performed as soloist in the Star Bach Show with the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong as well as performing with the Hong Kong Camerata Strings, appeared on RTHK Radio 4, as well as other concerts. Britta has won wide acclaim by audiences and music critics for her technical ability and musicality “her understanding and interpretation…became the focus of the entire concert” and “Britta surprised us and was able to express the solemn beauty of music, which is almost impossible to do for a child”. This is Britta’s third time performing at Musica del Cuore. She currently studies piano at the Russian Sound Music Academy with Dr Natalia Tokar.
Alana CHIANG, piano
Alana Chiang, 12 years old currently resides in Princeton New Jersey, USA. She relaxes by playing the piano and enjoys playing the music of Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy and Bartok. Currently Alana is studying in New York with Stephen Beck, “one of the city’s finest young pianists”, according to New Yorker Magazine. Alana will be attending Mannes Prep School of Music in September.
Previously, she studied under Robert Taub, a concert pianist renowned for his performances of Beethoven and contemporary music. He has performed as guest soloist with the world’s leading orchestras, including the MET Orchestra in Carnegie Hall, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic, The Philadelphia Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, and many others. In Hong Kong, Alana previously studied under Helen Cha, Director of Musica del Cuore and the Artist-In-Residence at Academia de Musica.
