Yue ZHANG started his piano training at the age of seven. He is currently pursuing his bachelor degree at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with full scholarship under the tutelage of Prof. Gabriel Kwok, majoring in Piano Performance.
He has won 1st Prize at Hong Kong Generation Next Art Music Competition (Young Artists Division) and Silver prize (General Category) at the 14th International Piano Competition in Tokyo, Japan. As a concert soloist, Yue has collaborated with the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, Xiamen Symphony Orchestra and Hong Kong Pan Asia Symphony Orchestra. He was invited to give performance in Shantou University, Shenzhen concert hall and local concert venues. Recently he was invited to make his debut recital in Italy, and the concert was broadcasted to cities in Europe by classical music channel radio 3 Rai.
Zhang has participated in master classes of renowned artists, including Russell Sherman, Hung Kuan Chen, Dan Zhaoyi, Jerome Lowenthal and Anton Kuerti. He is the awardee of The Talent Development Scholarship from The HKSAR Government and YAMAHA Scholarship.
