Mezzo-soprano Bobbie ZHANG was born in Shanghai, China. She obtained Bachelor of Music in Shanghai Conservatory of Music with Scholarship. After her undergraduate studies, she worked in the Shanghai Opera House. She appeared in numerous concerts as a soloist, including the China premiere of Shostakovich’s <Jewish Folk Poetry>, as the mezzo-soprano solo. She also sang in several roles including Dorabella in <Così fan tutte>, Tisbe in <La Cenerentola>, Cherubino and Marcellina in Mozart’s< Le nozze di Figaro> and Mercédès in Bizet’s <Carmen>. In 2014 August, she went to New York City during ten days study for the role of “Carmen” with Metropoliatan International Music Festival.
She is current studying her Master degree in The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, under the tutelage of Nancy Yuen.
