WONG Chi Wing Wesley specialises in classical chromatic harmonica performance. He is also the chord harmonica player and leader of VELOZ Harmonica Quartet. Top prizes captured include the Champion in Chromatic Harmonica Solo (Open Class) of the Asia Pacific Harmonica Festival (APHF) 2008, and the Champion in Trio category of the World Harmonica Festival 2005.
Graduated from the Music Department of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where he became the first-ever undergraduate in the city majoring in harmonica performance, he is now a part-time harmonica instructor of his alma mater. He was appointed as an adjudicator in the 10th Asia Pacific Harmonica Festival. He also made concerto appearances with the Hong Kong Harmonica Association Harmonica Chamber Orchestra and Chung Chi Wind Orchestra. He held a solo recital in June 2015, where he premièred two commission works by Hui Cheung Wai and Charles Kwong respectively, and received critical acclaim.
